The second Council of Mayors of the 2018 CVA Presidency, held by Les Mureaux, took place on 22-23 November 2018 and gathered nearly 30 representatives.
The Mayor, Francois Garay, welcomed the CVA members for a private visit of the Château de Versailles “The scientific Life in Versailles” followed by a 20th anniversary dinner with members and guests. The meeting itself was hosted by the 2018 CVA General Secretary Hugues Emont at the site of ArianeGroup.
The former Mayor of Hardthausen and President of Forum Ariane Lampoldshausen, Harry Brunnet, introduced his successor Thomas Einfalt, who attended for the first time.
The Council of Mayors unanimously elected a new General Delegate, Jean-Sebastian Lemay from the ArianeGroup, replacing Eros Pittarelli as of 1 December 2018.
The members thanked Harry Brunnet for his support to CVA during many years as well as Eros Pittarelli for his dedicated work as General Delegate since 2017.
In 2019 the CVA Presidency will be held by the City of Sevilla with its industrial partner Airbus Defence and Space. The Deputy Mayor of Sevilla, Ms Carmen Castreno Lucas presented the programme for next year starting with the inauguration on 23 January.
