Good traditions are there to be perpetuated. In a festive atmosphere, the Graduation and Prize-giving Ceremony of the Athénée communal Léonie de Waha took place at the Trocadéro, a Liège hall with a Parisian flair, on Wednesday 3 July.
Thanks to the excellent collaboration with the Communauté des Villes Ariane, ArianeGroup and Arianespace, two scientific prizes were awarded to the applause of a large audience: the “Scientific Criticism Prize” to Charlotte Van Goethem and the “Scientific Curiosity Prize” to Lola Franckart.
With just a few days to go before a historic moment – the inaugural flight of Ariane 6 – young people whom a bright future awaits, received a mock-up model of Ariane 6, true symbol of the future and excellence of European space, as well as books evoking the space epic. Mr Christian Mans, Chairman, and Mr Henri Hombleu, Vice-Chairman of the ASBL ‘Les Amies de Léonie’ had the honour to hand them to the prize-winners.
